Pench National park is located on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The Pench Tiger reserve is famous for Tigers. Its main lifelife in River Pench which flows across the Park. Pench tiger reserve comprises of 1180 sq Kilometers among which about 400 Sq kilometers is the Core area. Apart from Bengal tiger, We can find animals like leopards, Hyenas, wild cat, Wild dogs, Hyenas, Golden Jackal etc. There are several herbivores also like Chital, Sambar, Nilgai, Wild boar, Indian mongoose, and several varieties of Snakes.

Famous book of Rudyard Kipling “The Jungle Book” with the adventures of Mogli and Sher Khan was set in the backgrounds of Pench National park. Still, it is a favorite destination for wildlife lovers all over the world. With extra ordinary sites, and amazing discoveries, the Pench National park remains one of the most attractive national parks.

How to book Jeep rides in Pench National park ?

The department of Forests conduct Jeep rides to visit the park. We can book the Jeep rides through MP tourism department website. (www.mptoursim.com). The Prices of Exclusive Jeep is about 8500 Rs. This does not include Guide charges, which we have to take at entry point of Forest.

Main Zones of Pench National park

Core Zones : Turia and Karmazhiri are the core zones. There is dense flora and fauna in the core zones. The best time to visit the national park is from October to June. Then park closes for monsoon from 1 July to 30 October depending upon the monsoon season.

Buffer Zones : Wolf sanctuary, Khursapar, and silliari are the buffer zones. The wolf sanctuary is famous for wolves. The other animals which can be spotted in Pench are Leopards, Sloth bear, Chitals, Chinkaras etc.
