Kumaon Trekking Tour

Kumaon Trekking  tour is fantastic for individuals trekkers who would like to encounter tough challenges amongst splendid Himalayan surroundings. Beginning at Munsyari(2290 mts.) the trek route  rises towards the snow clad Birje Ganga pass(4666 mts.) and descends to Ralam village. The sights are magnificent with peaks for example Rajrambha, Chaudhara, Chirang We and Suitilla around the eastern side. This trek is mainly porter based.


Kumaon Trekking Tours Itinerary


Day 1 : Delhi – Kathgodam


Meet and greet with the group, and transfer to Delhi Railway station for train to kathgodam – Night in Train


Day 2 : Get to Kathgodam 06:30 several hours. Received by our tour guide and moved to waiting vehicle after brief relaxation. Drive to Vijaypur (210 kms, 6 several hours). Night at Vijaypur


Day 3 : After breakfast drive to Munsyari(115 kms, 4 several hours) along a road that winds itself up to and including height of 2748 mts before climbing down in to the glorious Munsyari valley. – Night in Munsiyari village


Day 4 : After breakfast drive for 6kms to Dumar and so the trek starts. Our destination is past Lilam village to Rargari (10 kms) where we put our tents for evening.


Day 5 : Today is really a strenous walk along a gorge beyond the Gori Ganga river. The path is rather up and lower but generally helps reduce off before reaching the camping site at Mapang(3100 mts, 9 kms).


Day 6 : You’re in high mountain country now and also the tree line vanishes giving use of huge stretches of All downhill pastures. The day’s walk is past Lhaspa and Rilkot to some magnificent and deserted hamlet known as Martoli(3385 mts, 12 kms)


Day 7 : Martoli to Sumdu (3070 mts, 10 kms). The walk is enjoyable today and that we have excellent sights of a great number of major peaks once we descend with the Gori Ganga gorge . To evening we camping on the plateau close to the village of Sumdu.


Day 8 : Sumdu to Ralam village (3700 mts, 11 kms) across Birje Ganga pass (4666mts) : Today is really a strenous day. We descend for ten or twenty yards from Sumdu after which start climbing for four hrs towards the Birje Ganga pass. Once around the pass a large panorama reveals infront which needs to be viewed to thought. Facing you’re Rajrambha(6895 mts), Chaudhara, Suitilla and many others. However the best view is for the west. The whole northern wall from the Nanda Devi Sanctuary is clearly visible, using the twin peaks ruling the levels around the left. You can spend hrs counting the peaks and looking only at that view with a feeling of question. We camping at Ralam following a steep descend of 5 kms.


Day 9 : Ralam to Sarpudyar (3015 mts, 16 kms.). The path is wilder once we are insidewithin all the Ralam valley and there is a stable descent up to the large cave known as Sarpudyar with several large big chunks of rock around it. We camping for the evening.


Day 10 : Sarpudyar to Pantu (2100 mts, 10 kms): The day’s walk is thru several meadows with constant good and the bad till we achieve the village Pantu where we camping for that evening.


Day 11 : We descend across the Gori Ganga gorge up to Suringarh after which climb continuously to Dumar where we obtain onto a waiting jeep that can take us to Wayfarer Mountain Resort.


Day 12 : Munsyari to Ranikhet (240 kms). It’s time to avoid Munsyari and it is mountain tops. Today we board an automobile that drives us to Ranikhet through Vijaypur, Bagheswar and Kausani. We checkin for that evening at Wayfarer Solitare. [more…]


Day 13 : Ranikhet to Kathgodam (90 kms). Today is yet another day whenever we can relax and relax. Late mid-day we board an automobile that drives us to Kathgodam. There’s also a choice of departing Ranikhet after breakfast and driving towards the legendary Jim Corbett Park. The train to Delhi leaves from Kathgodam at 20:40 several hours.
