Bandhavgarh National park

Bandhavgarh National park is known for its highest tiger density. There are other animals like Leopards, Hyenas, Jackals, Gaurs, Sambars, and Porcupines etc. The park of Bandhavgarh is spread in an area of about 448 Square kilometers in which around 110 sq km is the core area.

The Main zones of Bandhavgarh National park :

Tala Gate : This is the core zone of Bandhavgarh National park. There are some nice stay options as well. There is small visitor centre set up by MP tourism office. The entrance to the park opens at Tala village.

Khitauli Gate : This is core zone of Bandhavgarh National park. Several hotel options are available at Khitauli as well. The best way is to book hotel near the park safari gate. IN season, there are many tourists who book hotels far from the Park entrance. Like this, they waste lot of time travelling from 1 gate to another.

Magadhi Gate : It also falls under Core zone. There are several hotels located at Magadhi gate as well. Tourists have to get the park permit, and then they can take guide and Jeep at the entrance of the park. It is extra charged, since permit does not include Guide fee and vehicle charges.

Most important thing to remember : The park of Bandhavgarh remains closed on Wednesdays for afternoon safaris.

Other buffer zones of Bandhavgarh are Dhamokar, Johila and Panpatha.
